A group of four Cleveland workmates have enjoyed a “sweeter start” to the working week, scoring a Keno Classic 8 Spot prize of more than $138,000 on the weekend.

The Queensland players held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in game 503 on Sunday 22 November 2020 and takes home $138,294.40.

Speaking with an official from Keno this morning, one of the players explained how their win came to be.

“As you can imagine, I am very well,” he laughed.

“A group of us were out to dinner for a little bit of a work celebration.

“A few of us decided to pool some money together and play some Keno.

“It was actually the very first game we played. When we saw the win come up, we were shocked.

“I just stood in the middle of the room, looking at the screen and I said ‘You’ve got to be kidding me’.

“Some of us were screaming. There was lots of cheering. It was a very good time.

“It certainly made for a great end to the week and a sweeter start to this week.”

When asked how they planned to enjoy their prize, the stoked bloke said they’d spent the rest of the night making plans.

“Two of us are going to use it for house deposits,” he explained.

“Another is going to use her prize to travel around Australia, and I am going to put my portion away for my kid’s future – Tafe, university, whatever they want to do.”

The winning Keno Classic 8 Spot entry was purchased at Cleveland Sands Hotel, Cnr Middle & Bloomfield Streets, Cleveland.
