A Liverpool grandad’s Christmas wishes came true when the numbers he’s treasured for years unwrapped two major Keno prizes in the one draw, winning him more than $220,000.
The South Western Sydney resident scored the Keno Classic 9 Spot jackpot in draw 650, drawn Wednesday 10 December 2025, and took home a total prize of $162,101.60.
In addition to this, the gleeful man also had a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in the same draw, which bagged him an extra $62,378.50 and boosted his total windfall to $224,480.10.
“It’s amazing! It’ll make for a good Christmas,” he said.
“I play these same numbers all the time, and I always do the 8 Spot and 9 Spot.
“They’re old numbers. Just family birthdays.
“I started with five numbers, and then the grandchildren came along so I kept having to add more.
“I had only just put my tickets on when a little bit later, one of the team members came over and said, ‘I think you’ve won some big prizes!’.
“I wasn’t watching the draw, so it was such a surprise.
“I’ll be able to pay off the mortgage and then go from there!”
His winning Keno Classic entries were purchased at Liverpool Catholic Club, 424-458 Hoxton Park Road, Liverpool.
Liverpool Catholic Club operations manager Mark Russell said he and the team were ecstatic that a regular patron took home not one but two major wins in one day.
“We were all very excited to hear of that one of our members had a very thrilling night,” he said.
“We will be spreading the news with our members and guests over the coming days.
“It was only in March this year we last sold a major Keno prize winning entry.
“Congratulations to our lucky winner, what a great Christmas present!"
