Lake Macquarie’s newest millionaire might be completely unaware they won more than $1 million in a Keno draw last night, with officials urging players in the area to check their tickets.
The mystery player held a Keno Classic 10 Spot jackpot winning entry in draw 112, drawn Monday 12 February 2024 and took home a total prize of $1,009,650.10.
However, the player has yet to check their winning ticket and start the prize claim process.
The winning Keno Classic 10 Spot entry was purchased at Wests Cardiff, 18 Munibung Road, Cardiff.
Wests Cardiff Manager Kelly Burtenshaw said the whole team was over the moon they’d sold a Keno Classic 10 Spot winning entry and couldn’t wait for their winner to come forward.
“This is fantastic! To have had a big win like this in the venue is amazing,” she said.
“We can’t wait for the winner to realise their fortune and come forward to claim their prize.
“Hopefully, everyone in the region is checking their tickets because it would be an amazing prize to win!”
Keno spokesperson James Eddy encouraged all players who purchased a Keno entry at Wests Cardiff to check their tickets as soon as possible.
“Someone could have walked out of the venue and be sitting at work right now with a winning ticket worth more than $1 million in their wallet and may not realise!” he said.
“A $1 million prize would definitely change your plans for the rest of 2024 and possibly the rest of your life.
“With Easter fast approaching, it could mean a few more chocolates and other sweet treats!
“We’re urging all players who purchased a Keno entry Wests Cardiff to check their tickets today – you could be holding a major Keno winning entry!
“If you discover you’re holding the winning Keno Classic 10 Spot ticket, hold on tight to it and head into your closest venue as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process.”
