A new lawn mower is just one of the items on the wishlist of a Charleville woman who pocketed more than $76,000 on her recent Keno entry.

The South-West Queensland resident held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in game 207 on Monday 24 August 2020 and takes home $76,848.90.

Speaking to a Keno official today, the winner recounted the thrill of discovering her Keno win.

“I just thought I would put a Keno ticket on, but I didn’t watch the draw,” she explained.

“It was only when I went to check the ticket that I realised I’d won. It was awesome!

“Winning $76,000 is a good way to start the week! It’s crazy.”

The winner revealed she’d already decided how she’d use her Keno fun money.

“First I’m going to upgrade the lawn mower, the rest can go on the mortgage,” she declared.

The winning entry was purchased at Charleville RSL Memorial Club, 37 Watson Street, Charleville.

Charleville RSL Memorial Club supervisor Warren Draper said it was great to see another Keno win in his venue.

“We’re no stranger to wins here. Years and years ago we had a 10 Spot and we’ve had a few 7 Spots, 8 Spots and 9 Spots as well,” he said.

“It’s good to have another one, I just wish it was me!

“We wish the winner all the best with her prize. Let’s hope we have another one soon.”

Between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 58.4 million wins collectively worth more than $776.79 million.

During this time, Keno crowned 17 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $38.72 million.  Four of these major winners were Queenslanders, including a group of three long-time Cairns friends who scored a Keno Mega Millions 10 Spot prize worth more than $5.9 million.

Queenslanders enjoyed more than 19.49 million Keno wins totalling more than $249.57 million at pubs and clubs across the state in the 12 months to 30 June 2020.
