A Carrara couple has confessed they initially thought they’d only won $100 before discovering their $63,000 Keno Classic 8 Spot win last night.
The Queenslanders held a Keno Classic 8 Spot entry in draw 308, drawn Sunday 23 April 2023, and scored $63,978.30.
“We are so excited. This is terrific!” the winning husband cheered when an official from Keno called to confirm the windfall.
“We had no idea that we’d won! We went up to check, and the Keno machine did the thing it does when you’ve won something.
“We thought it was probably like $100 but never in a million years did we think we’d won this much!
“It’s come at such a good time for us too!
“We play our Keno numbers every time we play! We share our prizes and pick a few numbers each.
“It’s certainly paid off for us - really, really paid off.
“This amount will definitely keep us out of trouble!
“We’re so excited we just want to go away on a holiday right now!
“There are a few places we like that we’ve wanted to visit!
“We still don’t believe it! We even went back to have another look to make sure!
“We celebrated with some lunch, but I might even pop down the road and get us a meal for tonight!
“This will be enough for us to take care of each other.
“Thank you so much."
