A high-spirited Urunga man is thanking a last-minute decision to grab a Keno ticket on his way out of his local venue for his $69,000 win.
The Mid North Coast player held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 509, drawn Thursday 20 April 2023, and took home a total prize of $69,480.10.
“I’m feeling on cloud nine!” he cheered when an official from Keno confirmed his fun money this morning.
“I had no idea that I was going to win.
“I bought a ticket on our way out of the venue last Thursday, and thankfully I did!
“I wasn’t there when the draw had taken place, so I didn’t know that I’d won until a few days later.
“It’s the most I’ve ever won. I’ve had seven numbers on my Keno ticket a couple of times but never eight.
“We’re not one to celebrate, but we might treat ourselves to a glass of wine!
“I’m not too sure what I’ll spend the prize on, but I’ve got a 15-year-old car so maybe it’s time for an upgrade!”
His winning Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry was purchased at C.ex Urunga Club, Morgo Street, Urunga.
