A Canberra man is thanking a change in routine for scoring a Keno Mega Millions 7 Spot prize worth over $50,000.

The ACT player held a Keno Mega Millions 7 Spot winning entry in game 288 on Tuesday 12 May 2020 and takes home $50,811.40.

Speaking with a Keno official this morning, the overjoyed winner revealed he had recently switched which Keno game he usually plays, resulting in an unexpected win.

“It was a big surprise!” he exclaimed.

“It was quite late last night, and I was watching the draw on my phone. I couldn’t believe it when I saw I had won.

“You never expect to win but seeing the results immediately after the draw was amazing.

“I travel a bit for work so I like playing online as it means I can play wherever I am.

“I normally only play Keno Classic and have won a few smaller prizes with that in the past.

“But I recently saw that Keno Mega Millions jackpot was getting higher, so I thought I’d give it a go.

“I’ve only played it a couple of times! It’s unbelievable I’ve won so soon after changing.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his unexpected Keno fun money, the thrilled winner revealed it would help him upgrade some travel plans.

“We had been planning on heading over to the USA in May this year, but obviously that got cancelled,” he explained.

“So this will go into the savings while we wait until we can travel again and then hopefully late next year we can take a once-in-a-lifetime trip with a bit of extra spending money!”

The stoked bloke, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his Keno Mega Millions 7 Spot winning entry on the Keno app.
