“It blew my mind!”: Burnett Heads man ready for life on easy street following $50,000 Keno windfall

A Burnett Heads man has admitted he’s looking forward to a future filled with relaxing days and quiet nights following his shock $50,000 Keno win.

The Bundaberg region man held a Keno Classic winning entry in draw 230, drawn Friday 10 November 2023, and scored $50,000.00.

“I tell you what mate, there aren’t many surprises that are nicer than discovering you’ve won $50,000,” the winning man laughed when a Keno official called to confirm his windfall.

“Keno is a game I play semi regularly but I’m regularly changing my numbers in the hopes of winning a few extra dollars.

“I can’t believe some of those numbers finally came through for me! It blew my mind!

“It’s a huge shock and I’m still trying to process it honestly, but I just feel so blessed.

“No doubt it’s going to make my life a lot easier moving forward but I’m not one for extravagant showings of wealth or anything.

“I love being able to take it easy and that’s what I’m going to do.

“I’ll stash it away until I decide whether or not to treat myself and potentially invest the rest.

“What a weekend it was!”

His winning Keno Classic entry was purchased at Lighthouse Hotel Motel, 66 Zunker Street, Burnett Heads.

Lighthouse Hotel Motel Manager Gavin Hales said the venue was electric following the win, adding that everyone was pumped for the winner.

“What a way to kickstart a weekend!” he said.

“As soon as we discovered the win the atmosphere changed. and we were all so excited that one of our patrons had hit it big.

“We’ll make sure every single customers is aware that we’re a winning venue and we’d like to wish our winner all the best for the future.”
