A Bulli man has confessed his adult son had to check his Keno numbers a second time before the reality of his $300,000 Keno windfall sunk in.

The Wollongong player held a Keno Classic 9 Spot winning entry in draw 674, drawn Tuesday 27 December 2022 and took home a total prize of $304,995.50.

“Christmas has just come and gone, but I guess I had to wait a couple of days to receive my biggest gift!” the winning man exclaimed when confirming his win with an official from Keno.

“I’d just headed down to the pub with my son to pass the time and thought I’d play some Keno.

“I have my special numbers but thought I’d throw a few new ones in and before I knew it, I had five numbers, then I had six, and then they kept coming.

“My son had to double-check them for me because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

“It’s going to completely change my life.

“There’s a new car waiting for me to drive away in it. I might even look at buying a motorhome and cruising up and down the coast.

“2023 is going to be a lot of fun, that’s for sure.”

His winning Keno Classic 9 Spot entry was purchased at Ingleburn RSL Club, 70 Chester Road, Ingleburn.

Ingleburn RSL Club CEO Glenn Cushion said he and the tea were delighted for their winning customer and couldn’t believe it had happened so soon after Christmas.

“I can safely say this is the largest win we’ve seen in a decade at the club and it’s great to see a regular customer take this prize home,” he said.

“We’re so excited for the winner and we can’t stop talking about it! It’s created a real buzz around the area.

“We just want to wish him all the best and hope he has a fantastic start to 2023.”
