A hardworking Buccan concreter is looking forward to stressing less about his savings after ‘jagging’ a $49,258.10 Keno 8 Spot prize on Friday night.

The Queensland winner held a Keno 8 Spot winning entry in game 337 on Friday 5 April 2019 that scored a total jackpot prize of $49,258.10.

Speaking with a Keno official today, the bloke revealed he chose his winning numbers on a whim.

“I was just out for dinner and I usually play five numbers but I thought ‘I’ll try something different,” he explained.

“So I chose my birthday and seven other random numbers and those are the ones that nabbed it! I would have just been happy to get my money back!

“I watched a few games while I was waiting to eat dinner and actually saw the win come up on the screen.

“I still had some games left so I wasn’t sure if I was seeing it correctly.

“I got up to check and realised I’d won!

“I didn’t do much to celebrate, just went back to my dinner that had gone cold by then!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his Keno 8 Spot windfall, the hardworking tradie revealed the prize would speed up his plans to purchase his own property.

“It will just go into my savings for a home loan,” he declared.

“I’ve been saving as much as I can and then once I’ve reached my goal I’ll just go and dump a whole load of cash on my home loan.

“I was nearly halfway to my goal, so this makes it easier but now I think I have a bigger goal now!

“I own my own concreting business and I work really hard for my money so it felt good to win that!

“Jagging this one made a huge difference! It will take a little bit of stress off saving for the balance I wanted to.

“But now I’ve got a bigger target, I’ll still have to work hard!”

The stoked winner’s numbers that scored him his prize were 10, 13, 16, 26, 34, 37, 43, and 57.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his Keno 8 Spot entry at Beenleigh RSL Services Club, 13 Bardyn Halliday Drive, Mount Warren Park.

Beenleigh RSL Services Club General Manager Norman Studt said he was thrilled for his winner and the venue had been celebrating the milestone.

“I’m so excited for our lucky winner! What an incredible prize!” he exclaimed.

“We were all jumping for joy and celebrating when we realised we had a big win at the venue!

“We’ve had a lot of sizeable Keno prizes here over the years but this is the biggest for our club. It just shows that these huge prizes can be won anywhere at any time.

“We’re so happy for our patron and we hope this is the beginning of a winning streak.”

In 2018, Keno crowned millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than million.  of these major winners were Queenslanders.

Queenslanders won million on average each month playing Keno in pubs and clubs across the state.

Last year in Queensland alone, players bought million Keno tickets and won million in cash prizes, including individual 7, 8, 9, and 10 Spot jackpot prizes.
