A Brownsville man confessed he managed to keep cool, calm, and collected after scoring an exhilarating Keno Mega Millions prize of $490,000 at his local venue.
The Wollongong player held a Keno Mega Millions winning entry in draw 986, drawn Thursday 18 August 2022 and takes home a total prize of $495,001.00.
Speaking to a Keno official, the regular Keno player said the win had been a long time coming.
“It’s a game changer!” he cheered.
“I decided to put a game of Keno on while I was watching the footy.
“I was the only person in the venue playing Keno at the time – it was pretty quiet.
“I saw my numbers come up on the screen, and I just kept calm!
“The team member came up to me and said, ‘I think you’ve won!’
“I’ve been playing Keno for a while now, and this is the most I’ve ever won in my entire life.
“I always play the same numbers in Keno. I’ve stuck around with them for a long time.
“It’s great!”
When asked how he planned to spend his fun money, the winning man admitted he was still too shocked to make any concrete plans.
“I’ll have to think about it, but I know it will go to good use!” he said.
“All I know is that it will make a big difference to the next 10 years.”
His winning entry was purchased at Dandaloo Hotel Motel, 336 Kanahooka Road, Brownsville.
Dandaloo Hotel Motel shift manager Murray McDonald said the major Keno winning entry was fantastic news for the local community.
“It’s life-changing for the winner, and we’re so happy that he has scored a win after playing at our venue for a long-time now,” he said.
“I believe it’s the first major Keno win we’ve had at the venue! It’s a great win.
“Congratulations to the winner on behalf of the whole team. We wish you all the best!”
