The search is over for the Gold Coast’s newest millionaire, with a Broadbeach man checking his Keno 10 Spot entry over the weekend to receive the surprise of his life.

The Gold Coast player held a Keno 10 Spot winning entry in game 204 on Thursday 5 December 2019, and takes home $1,705,707.60.

Confirming his win with a Keno official this morning, the man explained he’d spent days oblivious to his millionaire status.

“I can’t believe it!” he exclaimed.

“This is life-changing. It’s absolutely unbelievable.

“It’s all been such a blur since I checked my ticket.

“I scanned it over the weekend, I didn’t even know there was a mystery winner on the Gold Coast and all along it was me!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his life-changing Keno windfall, the winner said he’d be heading into 2020 a new man.

“I’m going to pay off my mortgage and not have to worry about another bill,” he said.

“We’ll be having the best Christmas you can imagine.

“I feel like a totally new man!”

The winning Keno 10 Spot entry was purchased at The Star Gold Coast, Broadbeach Island, Broadbeach.

The win is the ninth Keno 10 Spot jackpot to be won in Queensland so far this year.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 64 million wins collectively worth more than $853 million.

During this time, Keno crowned 17 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $47.2 million. Seven of these major winners were Queenslanders, including a Mackay tradie who scored a Keno Mega Millions 10 Spot prize worth $5,167,445.

Queenslanders enjoyed more than 25.35 million Keno wins totalling more than $312.79 million at pubs and clubs across the state in the 12 months to 30 June 2019.

Keno players can also enter into the monthly second chance draw for the chance to win $10,000 by scanning their ticket at win.secondchance.keno.com.au.
