A Branxton woman has confessed she struggled to close her eyes and sleep last night after discovering she’d won more than $63,000 in a Keno draw.

The Hunter Valley resident held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 613, drawn Sunday 23 October 2022, and took home a total prize of $63,296.70.

“Yee Haw! How good is that!” she yelled when confirming her win with an official from Keno.

“I’m still in shock, but I’m sitting on cloud nine, mate!

“I tried going to sleep last night, but adrenaline was coursing through me after realising I’d won.

“The numbers had come up, and I’d just screamed with happiness.

“I don’t know what I’m going to do yet. So many things are racing through my mind.

“I’ll start with some renovations, but then who knows?

“It’s just amazing that this has happened to me!”

Her winning entry was purchased at Huntlee Tavern, 3 Empire Street, Branxton.

Huntlee Tavern Manager Blake Hampton said there was an air of excitement around the area knowing that a member of the community had won a major prize.

“It’s one of the biggest Keno wins we’ve seen for a while, so it’s very exciting,” he said.

“Everyone is in a state of shock that it happened here, but we’re also so excited for our winner.

“We want to wish them a big congratulations and all the best for the future.”
