A Botany man has shared that he couldn’t wipe the smile off his face as he watched number after number appear on the screen leading to his $120,000 Keno win.
The Sydney player held a Keno Classic 15 Spot winning entry in draw 570, drawn Wednesday 20 July 2022 and with 12 of his numbers hitting, took home a total prize of $120,000.
Confirming his win with an official from Keno, the elated man said he immediately knew how much he’d won following the draw and couldn’t stop shaking as he went to confirm it.
“I was watching the draw as it happened and I couldn’t believe that my numbers just kept appearing one after the other,” he proclaimed.
“I knew that as they kept being drawn the win was increasing and when I finally figured it out, I thought to myself, ‘my god, I think I’ve won $120,000.’
“Sure enough I was right, but it didn’t sink in straight away.
“My father always plays 10 numbers, but I thought I’d throw a few more in and see how I went.
“I still can’t believe this has actually happened to me.
“I’ll put some of the winnings into my business. The rest I’ll put straight in the bank.
“It’s going to give my family some added security and breathing room which is an absolute blessing.
“Work has a different feeling to it today, but I’ll just get through it and celebrate this weekend!”
His winning entry was purchased at Sir Joseph Banks Hotel, 354 Botany Road, Botany.
The Sir Joseph Banks Hotel team said they were over the moon to have sold a winning entry and wished their winner all the best for his future.

About Keno
Keno is a fun game played at about 3,500 pubs and clubs across Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT and Victoria.
A Keno draw occurs approximately every three minutes. During each draw, 20 numbers are drawn from 1 to 80. Players simply match the numbers on their entry to the numbers drawn for a chance to win over $1 million.
There are a range of Keno games to play, including Keno Mega Millions – a higher jackpot version of Keno Classic that uses the same Keno ball draw but gives players the chance to win $5 million or more.
