A Boronia man is planning to spend the next month searching for a brand-new home after a $246,000 Keno win on the weekend boosted his house deposit.
The Melburnian held a Keno Ways winning entry in draw 423, drawn Sunday 15 January 2023, and took home a total prize of $246,590.
Confirming his windfall with an official from Keno this morning, the jolly grandfather explained the win was a moment to remember.
“Honestly, I’m not sure how to describe it!” he laughed.
“We went out for tea with my family and played a couple of games of Keno.
“We never expected to leave the venue with a $246,000 win.
“Initially, I’d won $120 on another game of Keno. I decided to use those winnings to put another entry on.
“I checked the new Keno entry a few minutes later, and noticed I’d won $246,000!
“I started saying, ‘Wow! Oh wow!’. I couldn’t stop shaking.
“We will put $100,000 towards a house deposit.
“Thank you, Keno!”
His winning Keno Ways entry was purchased at Boronia Hotel, 112 Boronia Road, Boronia.
