A brand new boat is at the very top of the wish list for Bonnells Bay’s newest millionaire after the local woman scored a Keno prize of more than $1.5 million.

The thrilled winner held a Keno Classic 10 Spot winning entry in draw 708, drawn Tuesday 5 January 2021 and takes home a total prize of $1,538,477.30.

Sharing her excitement with an official from Keno this morning, the overwhelmed mum said she was still in disbelief.

“Thank you so much!” she laughed.

“It’s a miracle, it really is. It’s unbelievable!

“I don’t get a chance to play Keno very often, but we were having lunch yesterday and I put on a few games and then went home.

“Later in the afternoon, I sat down and checked the winning numbers and immediately recognised them as the birthday numbers that I usually play.

“I yelled out to my husband that we had nine of the 10 numbers drawn and then he came over to double-check and said ‘We’ve got 10 out of 10!’.

“It’s just unbelievable, it really is.

“I almost passed out!”

When asked how she imagined life as a millionaire, the woman explained she had it all figured out.

“We’re going to buy a new home and help the kids out,” she declared.

“We’re also going to buy a big brand new boat! I can’t wait for that.

“We’ll keep working for now, but we might start to slow down a little.

“It’s incredible!”

The life-changing Keno Classic 10 Spot winning entry was purchased at Bay Hotel Motel, Fishery Point Road, Bonnells Bay.

Bay Hotel Motel manager Peter Cullen said it was the biggest win the venue had celebrated.

“This is a very special milestone,” he said.

“It’s by far the biggest Keno prize on of our patrons has won.

“We’re extremely happy for our winner, it’s fantastic to see this prize go to a local and regular patron.

“Congratulations to her!”

Between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 58.4 million wins collectively worth more than $776.79 million.

During this time, Keno crowned 17 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $38.72 million.
