A Beaudesert woman’s quick coffee run turned into the ultimate pick-me-up when she scored a $50,000 win in a recent Keno draw.

The Scenic Rim resident scored the Keno Classic prize in draw 397, drawn Wednesday 20 May 2026. She looks forward to $50,000.

“I’m in a bit of shock!” she exclaimed when an official from Keno confirmed the windfall.

“I went to the local hotel to meet up with some friends for some coffee, and while they were deep into a conversation, I decided to put a game of Keno on.

“I totally forgot about the Keno ticket until I heard that someone had won $50,000 at the venue! I thought to myself, ‘I have to go check this ticket!’.

“It’s the most I’ve ever won in my life. I won about $11,000 on Keno a few years ago after the pandemic but this really tops it.

“This will allow me to pay off some bills and on-going expenses.

“Thank you! I’m very happy.”

Her winning entry was purchased on Beaudesert Hotel, 80 Brisbane Street Beaudesert.

Beaudesert Hotel duty manager Rose Hamilton said her team was ecstatic to have sold their first major Keno winning entry.

“I was very excited to hear we sold a major Keno winning entry and I immediately shared the good news with the team who were thrilled!” she exclaimed.

“This is the first major Keno winning entry that we’ve sold so we will celebrate by telling all our customers about the win. Who knows, it could happen to them next!

“It can only happen at The Beauy! A huge congratulations to our Keno winner and for supporting their local.”
