After winning more than $80,000 in Keno, a Bexley man is upgrading his retirement, with plans to move overseas so he can live his dream life in paradise.

The New South Wales player held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in game 190 on Saturday 18 December 2021 and took home $80,321.90.

“I’ve been trying to win the 8 Spot for years,” he explained when speaking with an official from Keno.

“Usually, the 8 Spot doesn’t get this high, so I was super eager to win it.

“I was watching as each number came out. I thought I had gotten seven out of eight numbers, and I would’ve been very happy about that. But then the last number came out and bam, I’d won.

“I went numb! I was so shocked. I’ve been dreaming of a win like this.

“When I first saw the win, I thought, ‘What the hell is going on here!’. I just didn’t expect it.

“I tried to be pretty quiet, but good news spreads quick.

“I bought some drinks for some of the patrons and staff I know. Then I gave a little bit extra to some of the other staff members as they’re all so lovely.

“I wanted to help spread the joy, especially after the last few years we’ve had. It’s been really tough for everyone.

“This prize will make such a big difference to my life. It’s amazing, thank you.”

The elated winner admitted his retirement plans were suddenly looking up thanks to his big win.

“It’s going to go towards my retirement. I’m going to move overseas, probably to Thailand, and live my best life,” he shared.

“It will essentially help support my life over there. But I’ll also pay it forward and help some of my family and friends, with school tuitions and things like that.”

The Keno Classic winning entry was purchased at Forest Inn, Bexley, 467 Forest Road, Bexley.

The Forest Inn, Bexley team said they couldn’t be happier one of their patrons had scored an 8 Spot prize just in time for Christmas.
